P&D Board Punjab organized a workshop on Regulatory Frame Work Reforms. A session on Reforms in Livestock for the ease of livestock business was also part. As Revenue Mobilization Investment and Trade (ReMIT Pakistan) was collaborating, Team Leader Hamed Yaqoob Sheikh also joined. Furthermore, Secretary Livestock Masood Anwar, Prof. Talat Naseer Pasha, Syed Yawar Ali, and Dr. Abdul Kareem also participated. Besides this, high officials of the livestock department were also present. Experts worked on different aspects of Reforms in Livestock and livestock business.

ReMIT Pakistan & Reforms in Livestock
ReMIT – Revenue Mobilization Investment and Trade is a project funded by FCDO and ITC. Duration of this project is 5 years (2021-25). This project is working on the promotion of international trade competitiveness in Pakistan. This project is focusing the development of national priority sector strategies. Besides this, it is also focusing trade policy and trade facilitation. Furthermore, it has chosen the area of Tax revenue mobilization.
This project collaborated for this workshop on Regulatory Frame Work Reforms in livestock. FCDO is Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office while ITC is International Trade Centre.
Hamed Yaqoob Sheikh
Hamed Yaqoob Sheikh is a team leader of ReMIT Pakistan. He is a renowned officer from Pakistan Administrative Services. He has been Federal Secretary Finance and Secretary Planning, Development & Special Initiatives. Mr. Hamed also served as Special Secretary Power Division. Furthermore, in Punjab, he worked as Secretary Finance. He also served as Chairman P&D Board in Punjab. Importantly, he also served as Secretary Livestock Punjab. He also led the DIFD funded program on policy and governance.
Mr. Hamed did his Masters in Development Studies from SOAS, United Kingdom, and completed his MBA from Institute of Business Administration (IBA), Karachi.
