Not Dr. Akrem, I am the legitimate PVMC President; Dr. Kalhoro responded on the 58th Council Meeting
Reacting to the alleged draft minutes of the 58th council meeting of the Pakistan Veterinary Medical Council, Dr. Nazeer Hussain Kalhoro has expressed strong reactions. In the alleged letter written in response, Dr. Nazeer Hussain Kalhoro says that I am the real and legal president of the Pakistan Veterinary Medical Council. I was elected as the president PVMC under Article 5 of the PVMC. On the other hand, I got the illegal election of Dr. Ghulam Jaffar suspended by the Sindh High Court. At present, I am the legitimate president of the Pakistan Veterinary Medical Council.
Further, Dr. Nazeer Hussain Kalhoro says that Dr. Muhammad Akram is a member of the council and according to Article 5 of the PVMC Act, he is not the president. As a member of the council, he is neither authorized to call a meeting nor to chair a council meeting. The 58th meeting of the council is illegal while its decisions also have no legal status.
He further said that Dr. Akram was appointed as the deputed officer to look after the day to day affairs of PVMC by the Secretary Ministry of National Food Security and Research on the direction of the Islamabad High Court. But he illegally writes the title of President with his name at times and is running the affairs of the council by exceeding his powers.
