Dairy Farmers Demanded Increase in Price of Milk in Peshawar
Livestock Farmers Welfare Association Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has applied to the Deputy Commissioner Peshawar to increase the rates of milk and yogurt. The association has demanded the increase in the price of milk in Peshawar and other dairy products. According to the association, the prices of wanda, straw, green fodder, medicines, labor, gas, and electricity have become expensive. Rate of milk should be decided according to the cost of production. We will raise our voice on every platform for farmers. We have supported our farmers in every difficult time. The Farmers Association has demanded that a meeting of the Price Review Committee be convened.
Price of Milk in Peshawar
Association President Asif Awan says that the Deputy Commissioner’s Office has always given appropriate rates on the recommendation of the Livestock Farmers Welfare Association. We will also present the farmers’ case of the rate of milk before the administration in the current situation. An increase in the price of milk in Peshawar is inevitable due to inflation.

He added that we work on the basis of sincerity and have the same standards for all farmers. We are also in touch with the Livestock Department regarding animal diseases and better services. He said that our association had also filed a case in the Peshawar High Court for its farmers, but later the case was withdrawn after getting a suitable rate. He said that he would continue to work for the welfare of the farmers.
