PM National Innovation Award presented to Vet Dr. Waseem
Dr. Waseem, a Vet, has been awarded PM National Innovation Award on presenting best Project. He presented the idea regarding the best utilization of the potential of veterinary professionals in food security. He urged to use the veterinary skills in relevant sector. His project was presented at NUST.

How to take advantage of the real role of veterinary professionals in food security? Veterinary Dr. Waseem was awarded the Prime Minister’s National Innovation Award for presenting the best idea. Along with youth from other fields, Dr. Waseem also presented his project and was selected for the award.
Seven veterinary professionals, including Dr. Waseem, were selected for training at the Institute of Business Administration Karachi. After the training, they presented their project at NUST. Fifty out of five hundred participants were selected, including Dr. Waseem’s name.
Dr. Waseem is working to make the real and technical role of veterinary doctors in the veterinary profession in Pakistan effective. His project is to provide veterinary professionals with business opportunities related to their field so that they can serve the country and the nation while serving in their respective fields.
He says that the employment of veterinarians in the field of animal treatment and production will strengthen the livestock sector in Pakistan as a whole. This will have a positive impact on the employment of farmers, the quality of livestock products, public health and the country’s economy, and overall it will help ensure food security.
