What is PVPA

PVPA is the Pakistan Veterinary Pharmaceuticals Association. It is an association of businesses related to the veterinary pharmaceutical industry in Pakistan. It covers manufacturers, importers, distributors, and other stakeholders of veterinary pharmaceutical products, including medicines, vaccines, nutraceuticals, etc. This association was founded in 2016 and after continuous struggles of Dr. Asim Mehmood Khan, Dr. Masood Sadiq Chaudhry, Dr. Khalid Iqbal, and others, this has been registered officially.

First Executive Committee of PVPA

The first executive Committee of the Pakistan Veterinary Pharmaceuticals Association was announced in the meeting held in Lahore. Dr. Asim Mahmood Khan is the Founding Chairman of the association. Dr. Masood Sadiq Chaudhry will serve as the Senior Vice Chairman. Saqib Dawood will be the Vice Chairman North while Dr. Khalid Iqbal vice chairman South. The central executive committee members of the association include Muhammad Azhar Rasool, Syed Ijaz Shah, Shahbaz Aslam, Ijaz Anwar, Sajeel Dass, Shahzad Awan, Ashfaq Asi, and Muhammad Yasin.

The meeting appreciated the efforts of Dr. Asim Mahmood, Dr. Masood Sadiq, Dr. Khalid Iqbal, and others for the registration of the association. The participants of the meeting said that the foundation of a well-organized association has been laid with the tireless efforts of the PVPA executive team.

Objectives of PVPA

The aim of establishing this association is to provide a platform to all stakeholders related to the veterinary pharmaceutical industry where all the problems can be highlighted and a plan of action can be formulated to resolve them. The association will coordinate with DRAP and other institutions. After completing the coordination process with the Federal Chamber of Commerce and other chambers, it will be made active as a representative association of veterinary pharmaceuticals. The issues of customs, DRAP, and other institutions will be resolved from this platform. Moreover, this will also guide the businessmen and investors regarding the rules and regulations of DRAP and other institutions.

Livestock Development Strategy; Comprehensive Work under GRASP Project

Dr. Masood Sadiq Chaudhry said that obtaining this license is not only a success for the association but also an important development for the veterinary pharmaceutical industry in Pakistan. We aim to promote the industry through innovation, collaboration, and adherence to high standards. Dr. Asim Mahmood Khan said that PVPA is committed to representing the interests of veterinary pharmaceutical manufacturers, importers, distributors, and professionals. The association will continue to play its role in achieving national goals of animal health, food security, and public health. He thanked all his colleagues for their cooperation.

Membership of Association

Pakistan Veterinary Pharmaceutical Association will start its membership very soon. Manufacturers, importers, distributors, and retailers having NTN and fulfilling other requirements can become members of this association.
