Food Authority ordered to instal Milk Cooling System in Vehicels

The Punjab Food Authority has decided to register the vehicles used for milk supply with the authority and to ensure the quality of milk, it has decided to make it mandatory to have containers with a special cooling system on these vehicles. There will be a complete ban on supplying milk by adding ice to it in simple containers.
According to the details, Director General Punjab Food Authority Captain (retd) Muhammad Usman Younis has ordered his officers and field staff to register the vehicles used for milk supply on a commercial basis with the authority so that data can be compiled as to which vehicle is used for milk supply in which city and from where to where. Milk supply will be stopped on vehicles not registered with the Food Authority.
The DG also directed that milk supply should also be stopped on any vehicle that does not have containers with a special cooling system. According to the authority officials, time will be given to the vehicle owners to install the cooling system. In addition, DG Usman Younis has implemented a policy of immediate registration of police cases against the mafia producing fake milk (powdered milk).
According to sources, the DG Food Authority will meet the higher judicial authorities regarding the problems arising due to the unusual slowness in handling fake milk cases in the subordinate judiciary and the lack of punishments and will inform them about the details of the cases and request that such cases be heard as soon as possible and the accused found guilty be given severe punishment.
