Meeting of PPA Central Executive Committee held in Karachi, Dr. Rana Sajjad Arshad appointed as Chief Organizer IPEX 2026
An important meeting of the PPA Central Executive Committee (Pakistan Poultry Association) was held in Karachi. The meeting was chaired by Central Chairman Abdul Basit. The meeting was specially attended by Khalil Sattar, founding member of the Pakistan Poultry Association, and Muhammad Saleem Baloch, Advisor to the Chief Minister Sindh on Parliamentary Affairs. Several decisions were taken at the Meeting of PPA Central Executive Committee.

Most importantly, the meeting discussed the effects of taxes imposed on the poultry industry and the problems faced by the industry as a result. The participants were informed that the association is continuously making efforts at the government level to reduce these negative effects. The meeting emphasized that the poultry industry is not only the backbone of the national economy but also plays a fundamental role in food security; therefore, tax relaxation is inevitable.
On this occasion, a detailed review of the preparations for the International Poultry Expo was also taken. Abdul Hai Mehta, Chief Organizer of Expo 2025, highlighted his services and requested that this responsibility be given to another member for the next year. The participants of the meeting paid tribute to his excellent performance and contributions. On this occasion, Dr. Rana Sajjad Arshad was unanimously approved to be appointed as the Chief Organizer of IPEX 2026. Along with this, other important decisions were also taken.

Other prominent personalities present in the meeting included Senior Vice Chairman Ghulam Khaliq, Vice Chairman Northern Region Malik Muhammad Sharif, Vice Chairman of the Southern Region Lal Bux Kolachi. Abdul Hai Mehta, Mian Muhammad Sohaib Javed, Salman Munir, Muhammad Aslam, Kamal Akhtar Siddiqui, Muhammad Irfan Ghazi, Dr. Khalid Iqbal, and Tariq Aziz were also present.

Secretary General Gul Aziz Awan also attended the meeting. Hamza Soroush and Aamir Ali participated via Zoom.
