
Second Phase of Animal Distribution under Livestock Asset Transfer Project started
Under the special initiative of Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz, the second phase of the Livestock Asset Transfer Project for the free distribution of animals among divorced and widowed poor rural women has been started.
Under this project, calves and heifers are being distributed among women. In the first phase, 4870 animals have been distributed by the Livestock Department, while a special amount has been allocated in the budget for the second phase.
Widows or divorced women certified by the Punjab Social Protection Authority who are up to 55 years of age and have not acquired animals from any other scheme in the last five years can benefit from this scheme. This scheme includes the districts of Dera Ghazi Khan, Muzaffargarh, Bahawalnagar, Rahim Yar Khan, Rajanpur, Layyah, Kot Addu, Bahawalpur, Multan, Khanewal, Vehari, and Lodhran.
