Representatives of John Snow Research and Training Institute Pakistan called on AHC. Besides Deputy Animal Husbandry Commissioner, Dr. Syed Anum Hadi also accompanied. They deliberated on the development of an integrated robust digital disease surveillance dashboard. Moreover, this Integrated Disease Surveillance system will be based on the One Health Approach. This will focus the animal disease surveillance and livestock disease surveillance in Pakistan. Furthermore, it will specifically focus on Zoonotic Diseases. Animal Husbandry commissioner assured the support of his office for JSI Pakistan – John Snow Institute Pakistan.
John Snow Institute -JSI
John Snow Research and Training Institute is working for healthier communities by building stronger health systems. JSI works in collaboration with government agencies. Besides this, it also works with the private sector and local nonprofit organizations. It also collaborates with civil society. Its primary focus is on the identification and implementation of different solutions. These solutions relate to public health and healthcare challenges. The journey of John Snow Research and Training Institute is 45 years long.

JSI Pakistan
JSI is also working in Pakistan. John Snow Institute Pakistan has been supporting the government on health systems for 25 years. USAID is funding this activity. It is helping to implement the Global Health Security Agenda. Furthermore, it also supports the health service delivery system of the public sector in KPK and other areas. It is working for the accessible and equitable basic health services in this province.
Furthermore, it is also supporting the Sindh Government on Mother and Child Health. On the other hand, it works with the Federal Government on family planning, tuberculosis, and vaccine availability. It launched the vaccine logistics management information system in 2014.

Animal Husbandry Commissioner – AHC
Animal Husbandry Commissioner is the Chief Veterinary Officer in Pakistan. This office works on animal disease surveillance and other policy issues related to animal health and production. Moreover, this office is working under Ministry of National Food Security and Research.
JSI Pakistan is going to work with AHC on animal disease surveillance and livestock disease surveillance. They want to work on the Integrated Disease Surveillance system. They may develop a digital dashboard for animal disease surveillance and livestock Disease Surveillance. This will be under one health approach.
