Pakistan celebrates Iqbal Day on November 9. This is the birthday of Allama Iqbal. Allama Muhammad Iqbal was born on 9 November, 1877. He gave the idea of Pakistan. Besides this, Iqbal is  also known as Shair -e- Mashriq. This means he is the poet of the east. His poetry was revolutionary for the people of the subcontinent. He urged the people to fight for freedom from British rule. Furthermore, he also urged the Muslims of the subcontinent to stand for their rights. In addition to this, he made the Muslims realize their real strength. Furthermore, his poetry was also a strength for the Muslim youth. Still, his poetry is full of lessons and the subject of deep research.
