
Internship program for vets and paravets, along with other projects approved by DDSC at the Livestock Department, Punjab
The Departmental Developmental Sub-Committee (DDSC) of the Livestock Department was held under the chairmanship of Secretary Livestock, Ahmed Aziz Tarar. The committee approved the ongoing and new livestock projects worth a total of Rs 1.6 billion, including a program of internship for vets and paravets.
The meeting approved an internship program worth Rs 600 million for young veterinary graduates and para vets. Under this program, internship opportunities will be provided to 500 veterinary graduates and 500 para vets.
Secretary Livestock Ahmed Aziz Tarar said that providing better facilities to livestock farmers is our top priority. The meeting also approved a project to establish diagnostic laboratories and mobile veterinary laboratories across Punjab at a cost of Rs 750 million, so that timely diagnosis and treatment of livestock can be made possible. The meeting was also attended by the Additional Secretary Technical, the Director General of Livestock, and other senior officers.
