National Conference on Animal Reproduction, Genetics, and Genomics – local breeds of livestock
The Sindh Livestock Breeding Services Authority organized a national conference on animal reproduction, genetics, and genomics, focusing on the preservation and improvement of local breeds of livestock. At the conference, experts discussed various topics and challenges related to animal reproduction and breeding.
Provincial Minister for Livestock Muhammad Ali Malkani was the chief guest of the conference. He stressed the importance of preserving and improving livestock breeds in Sindh. Secretary Livestock and Fisheries Sindh Dr. Kazim Hussain Jatoi, Vice Chancellor Sindh Agriculture University Tandojam Professor Dr. Fateh Muhammad Marri, DG Sindh Institute of Animal Health Dr. Nazir Hussain Kalhoro, Registrar Sindh Livestock Breeding Services Authority Dr. Abdullah Sethar and other experts also spoke at the event.
Professor Dr. Fateh Muhammad Marri stressed the need for cooperation between educational institutions, research institutions, and industry stakeholders to improve livestock breeding and Local Breeds of Livestock.

Dr. Abdullah Sethar highlighted the steps taken by the authority to conserve the local breeds of Kandi buffalo, Red Sindhi cattle, Kankraj cattle, Tharparkar cattle, and goats and sheep. He said that the workshop provided an opportunity for experts to pool their views. The conference provided a platform for experts to share their knowledge and experiences and discuss ways to improve the livestock sector in Sindh.

The National Conference on Reproduction and Genetics was also attended by Dr. Rafiq Ahmed Memon, Prof Dr. Parshottam Khatri, Prof Dr. Saeed Ahmed Soomro, Prof Dr. Aqeel Ahmed Memon, Dr. Seema Baloch, Dr. Raza Ali Soomro and other experts.
