Seminar on Importance of Enzymes in Poultry Feed at UVAS – مرغیوں کی خوراک میں انزائمز کی اہمیت کے موضوع پر سیمینار کا انعقاد
A seminar on the importance of enzymes in poultry feed was held at the University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, Lahore. The seminar was organized by the Nutritionist Association of Pakistan and the Animal Nutrition Department of the university in collaboration with a private company. Foreign expert Dr. Satamatopouls Kostos gave a detailed talk on enzymes at the seminar. He explained the working mechanism of enzymes and their use for better production.
The aim of the seminar was to provide guidance to producers and farmers about the importance of enzymes in poultry feed. The inaugural ceremony of the seminar was presided over by Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Talat Naseer Pasha. Dean Faculty of Animal Production and Technology Prof. Dr. Anjum Khaliq and Chairperson Department of Animal Nutrition Prof. Dr. Saima were also present on the occasion. A large number of professionals from the poultry industry, frozen assets, faculty members and students attended the seminar.
Benefits and Importance of Enzymes in Poultry Feed
Enzymes can be used to better benefit from feed. The digestibility of feed increases, which can lead to better overall production with less feed. Their use also improves protein digestibility. Enzymes in poultry feed reduce nitrogen and phosphorus emissions, which can also reduce environmental pollution. He also spoke about global feed industry trends, recent developments in the use of enzymes in poultry feed, and the development of modern enzymes.
