Supporting Rural Women’s Economic Empowerment
Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has placed strong emphasis on the economic empowerment of rural women.
The programme supports this vision by providing women with productive livestock assets. A cow or buffalo can provide milk for household consumption. It can also generate income through milk sales. Moreover, livestock ownership can help women develop a sustainable source of income.
Thus, the programme aims to move beyond short-term financial assistance. It seeks to create long-term livelihood opportunities for rural women.
Animal Distribution to Begin October 20
