Nasib Ahmed Saifi – Convener Halal Meat Processors and Exporters Committee of FPCCI

Nasib Ahmed Saifi has been appointed as the convener of Halal Meat Processors and Exporters Committee of FPCCI. The Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry has notified this appointment. He will select the relevant members from this sector for this committee within fourteen days including meat exporters and meat processors. This is Punjab Regional Comittee

Nasib Ahmed Saifi is the Chairman of Saifi Group of Companies. He is also the Chairman of All Pakistan Meat Exporters and Processors Association. Besides this, he has also been a member of the Executive Committee of Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

Economy and Public

Nasib Ahmed Saifi says that the country’s economy is in a very difficult situation. People are also facing serious financial problems and the worst inflation. Higher electricity bills and heavy taxes have broken people’s backs. They are facing difficult in running their kitchens. On the other hand, heavy IMF conditions and possible new taxes in the recent budget will come crashing down on the public.

He says there is no traditional rush in the markets on Eid and business activities are also less. People are also facing difficulties in purchasing sacrificial animals. On the other hand, less purchase of sacrificial animals will have far-reaching effects on the rural economy.

Demand for Relief by Meat Processors

Nasib Ahmed Saifi says that the government should take steps to give relief to the people. Moreover, all stakeholders should work together for the betterment of the country’s economy.

He says that the Eid ul Adha teaches us sacrifice. On the occasion of Eid, people forget their mutual differences and come together. There is a need for patience and sacrifice at the national level as well. If the country’s economic and political conditions are not improved, it will be difficult for the people to eat two meals a day.

Meat Processors, Exporters, and Budget

Nasib Ahmed Saifi emphasized that the government should focus exclusively on agriculture and meat exports. Moreover, the government should take special measures after consultation with the meat exporters and meat processors۔ Besides this, the government should give special attention to this sector in the budget.
