UVAS organized a launching ceremony in collaboration with Brooke Pakistan. This is the list of Essential Veterinary Medicines for livestock and food producing animals. The Vet medicine list is highly important for uniformity and standardization in animal health programs and veterinary practice.
The event was co-chaired by the Vice Chancellor University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences Prof. Dr. Muhammad Younas and the Chief Executive Officer of Brooke Hospital UK Mr. Chris Wainwright. Acting Chief Executive Officer Brooke Pakistan Dr. Javed Iqbal Gondal, Health Care Manager Brooke Pakistan Dr. Muhammad Javed Iqbal Khan, Dean Faculty of Veterinary Science Prof. Dr. Anila Zameer Durrani and other veterinary faculty members also joined the event
Mr. Chris Wainwright praised Veterinary University’s veterinary services and said that the university’s collaboration with Brock Pakistan is vital to further improve the welfare and health care system of food-producing cattle. It is an important step.
Dr. Javed Iqbal Khan briefed the participants about the principles, challenges, external review, and aims and objectives of creating a list of essential veterinary medicines for livestock and other animals including vaccines for animals.
