Experts discussed different aspect of zoonosis and zoonotic diseases. They presented their research work and papers during the conference.

The health of humans and animals is linked to a better environment, so we need to make joint efforts for better health and a suitable environment for humans and animals. These views were expressed by Vice Chancellor University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences Professor Dr. Naseem Ahmed while addressing the closing ceremony of the two-day International One Health Conference organized in collaboration with the Higher Education Commission and Punjab Agriculture Research Board at the College of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, Jhang.
Principal Veterinary College Jhang Professor Dr. Muhammad Fayyaz Qamar, Chief Executive Punjab Agriculture Research Board Dr. Muhammad Abid, Professor Dr. Anas Sarwar Qureshi and others were also present on the occasion.
Aims and Objectives of One Health Conference
Explaining the aims and objectives of the conference, Professor Dr. Fayyaz Qamar said that the aim of the conference is to highlight the improvement of the lives of humans and animals through human medicine, veterinary medicine and environmental sciences.
Delegations at One Health Conference
A large number of professionals, researchers, scholars, teachers and students from poultry, wildlife, livestock, pharmaceutical, medical, public health, zoology and other fields from Pakistan, USA, Germany, Egypt, Bangladesh, Turkey, Bahrain, India, Sudan and other countries participated in the international conference.
Various physical and online technical sessions were held during the conference, in which the role of veterinary professionals in One Health, zoonotic diseases, drug resistance and other topics were discussed.
In the sessions, Hafiz Muhammad Hafiz from Free University Berlin, Dr. Awad Shihata from Germany, Muhammad Nasir Bheya from Afyon University, Turkey, Professor Xin Zhou from McGill University, Canada, George Lee from Cornell University, USA, Dr. Baitullah Kenar from Afyon University, Turkey, Dr. Halil Selcuk from Turkey, Yousef Atiya from King Abdulaziz University, Saudi Arabia, Dr. Zulqarnain Baloch from Kunming University, China, Dr. Abrar Hussain from the University of Illinois, Dr. Sabir Hussain from City University of Hong Kong, Mamoon Rashid from the Florida Department of Agriculture and other experts discussed various topics.

An exhibition was also held during the conference, in which various companies from the public and private sectors set up stalls. An exhibition of domestic animals and livestock was also organized during the conference. Along with this, javelin throwing competitions were also organized. There were 41 oral and 22 poster presentations at the conference.
