Chairman GCLI Joined a Grand Event of Meat Exporters, visited Meat Processing Plant
Chairman GCLI, Green Corporate Livestock Initiative Major General (R) Shahid Mahmood specially attended a grand event of meat exporters. A grand dinner was organized in honor of the business community and meat exporters by the Chairman of All Pakistan Meat Exporters and Processors Association and Al-Rahman Meat Processors Private Limited, Mian Abdul Hanan. Director Livestock GCLI Col (R) Abdul Rehman Qureshi was also present.
DG Punjab Agriculture, Food and Drug Authority Prof Dr Talat Naseer Pasha, President Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry Faheem-ur-Rehman Sehgal, Chairman Go Foods Group Chaudhry Muhammad Tahir, DG Quarantine Department Dr. Maqbool Ahmed, Syed Hassan Raza, Dr. Asif Sahi and other dignitaries also attended the ceremony.
Chairman GCLI appreciated the role of the private sector in the development of livestock and meat export sector. He said that Pakistan’s livestock sector has immense potential. Green Corporate Livestock Initiative is taking practical steps for the development of all sectors of livestock, including meat exports. He said that under GCLI, local production of sexed semen has been started. Dairy and beef breeding bulls with high genetic characteristics have also been imported. It will help in the promotion of modern livestock farming and exports. He said that the meat export sector plays an important role in Pakistan’s economy.
During the ceremony, Chairman GCLI visited various departments and the modern meat processing plant of Al-Rahman Meat Processors.
At the end of the ceremony, Mian Abdul Hanan thanked Chairman GCLI Major General (R) Shahid Mahmood and expressed his determination that Al-Rahman Meat Processors Private Limited will introduce Pakistani meat products to more international markets while maintaining world-class standards.
