Caretaker CM Sindh presided over a meeting on Livestock Department. Besides Secretary Livestock, Chief Secretary Sindh and other officers were also present. On the other hand, livestock officers also attended this meeting. Secretary Livestock Sindh briefed about the departmental activities. While addressing, Chief Minister showed dissatisfaction with the performance. Furthermore, CM Justice (R) Maqbool Baqar directed to improve the conditions of veterinary hospitals.

The meeting was attended by Chief Secretary Dr. Fakhar Alam, Chairman P&D Shakeel Mangrejo, Secretary Finance Kazim Jatoi, Secretary Livestock and Fisheries Dr. Hafeez Ahmed Sial and others.
On this occasion, the Caretaker Chief Minister Sindh was given a briefing by the Secretary Livestock and Fisheries Sindh.
On this occasion, it was informed that there are 50.347 million livestock in Sindh, which is 23 percent of the country. Sindh has a 350-kilometer coastline and there are 1210 water bodies across the province. 2 million people in Sindh earn their living from fisheries and livestock.
The Caretaker Chief Minister Sindh said that he is not satisfied with the Livestock and Fisheries Department Sindh. He said that there are four directors general of livestock but none of them are working.
He said that the DGs of the livestock department do not conduct any inspection within their districts. Until inspection is done, there will be no improvement in poultry and animal hospitals.
Caretaker Chief Minister Sindh Justice (retd) Maqbool Baqir said that animal hospitals should be improved. He said that I should improve the fish harbor, livestock, poultry, fishing.
The caretaker Chief Minister Sindh said that if there is no improvement, I will take strict action.
