Camel fight persists despite ban in Pakistan. This crime is being done on the name of culture. The basis of this so called game is illetracy. This animal has importance due to its food security. Its economic importance, trade capacity and dairy and meat products are also significant.

Despite cultural restrictions, camel fighting is still a popular pastime in Sindh. The camels participating in it are dressed in colorful clothes and have bells tied around their necks.
Camels are usually large and are considered very powerful animals. In villages, camel fights take the form of competitions that attract large crowds to watch. In some areas, it is known as an old tradition.

During this, the camels attack each other and test their strength. Many times, these fights become prolonged and the animals are injured. Individuals and organizations working for animal rights call this practice cruelty to animals.

According to Bilal Abdul Haq Shah, chairman of the Animal Welfare Organization, cruelty and cruelty to animals is a punishable crime under Pakistani law. They say that the animals participating in the fight suffer physical and mental pain, so such activities should be discouraged.
He said:
“We should consider animal fighting as an inhumane act rather than entertainment. People say that it is our culture, but there should be no room for cruelty to animals in any culture.”
According to historical references, animal fights have been a tradition in many countries, however, in modern times, such activities are being discouraged due to animal protection and welfare laws.
