Biology and Breeding of Camels – Book on Camels

Livestock and Poultry Production Department of Bahauddin Zakaria University BZU Multan organized A Book Launch Ceremony. Title of the camel Book was “Biology and Breeding of Camels”. This book is about camel breeding, biology and camel management.

Besides Camel Association of Pakistan, Camel Society of Pakistan and Pakistan Camel Club; ISOCARD and ICO also collaborated. Dr. Asim Faraz highlighted the research and educational services of Prof. Dr. Masroor Elahi Babar, the author of the book. In addition to this, he also introduced different organizations working on camel welfare and related research.

Prof Dr Bernard Faye (CIRAD France), Prof Dr Wael Khamas (USA), Prof Dr Muhammad Farh (Morocco), Prof Dr Ihsan Soysal (Turkey), Prof Dr Barbara Padalino (Italy), World Camel Lady Valeri Crenshaw (USA) and Christina Adams (USA) also expressed their views about the book.

Furthermore, Chairman Department of Livestock and Poultry Production Dr. Abdul Waheed also spoke. Dean Faculty of Sciences Prof. Dr. Javed Ahmed also expressed his views. On the other hand, the author of the book, Prof. Dr. Masroor Elahi Babar, shed light on the various topics of the book.

Dean Faculty of Pharmacy, Prof. Dr. Mohammad Aziz highlighted the significance of camel research besides the content of the book.
