Buffalo Milk Fair at Bahadarnagar Farm

A buffalo from of Punjab produced 47.34 Kg Milk in 36 Hours in a Buffalo Milk Competition. Buffalo Breeders Association Punjab Pakistan and Livestock Department Punjab organized this Buffalo Show and Buffalo Competition. Moreover, Livestock Cavalcade was also part of this tree day activity. Different breeds of sheep, goats, cows, buffaloes, and donkeys participated in this show. On the other hand, a dairy expo was also organized on the occasion of the Buffalo Milk Fair. Stalls were set up by the Livestock Department as well as various companies in this Buffalo Fair.

Provincial Minister for Agriculture Punjab Syed Ashiq Hussain Kirmani inaugurated this Buffalo Milk Competition. Moreover, Prof Dr. Talat Naseer Pasha Vice Chancellor UVAS, President Buffalo Breeders Association Punjab Pakistan Khan Ali Imran Rath and General Secretary Eng. Samiullah also joined Buffalo Fair. Moreover, Founding Chairman Association Saeed Hassan Hotiana, Prof. Nasim Ahmed, and Prof. Sajjad Khan also visited the Buffalo Show.

Chairman Breeding Authority Dr. Aleem Bhatti, Registrar Breeding Authority Dr. Haider Ali, DG Production Dr. Asif Rafiq, Dr. Qaiser Shahzad, Dr. Iqbal Shahid, Dr. Khalid Farooq and other officers of Livestock Department also participated in the Buffalo fair and Buffalo Milk Competition.

Closing Ceremony of Buffalo Competition

Commissioner Sahiwal Shoaib Iqbal Syed was the chief guest of the closing ceremony of Buffalo Milk Fair. Furthermore, Commandant Center of Excellence for Bovine Genetics Renala Khurd Brig Ali Raza and CEO Sitara Petroleum Tahir Iqbal also specially participated in the closing ceremony.

Livestock Minister said that Livestock fairs have always had a historical role in the culture of Punjab. Livestock Department Punjab is keeping this tradition alive. He further said that fairs and competitions encouraged the farmers to get better and better production.

Results of Buffalo Milk Competition

Uswa Soni buffalo of Arfan Gujjar got first position by producing 47.340 kg milk. Moreover, Kamli buffalo of Seth Shani got second place by producing 45.475 kg milk. Furthermore, Zamzam Buffalo of Imran Asghar stands third by producing 43.745 kg milk. Moreover, First prize was the cash of Rs 3 hundred thousands, the second was Rs 2 hundred thousands and the third was Rs 1 hundred thousands.
