بروسلوسس کی تشخیص پر نیشنل ویٹرنری لیبارٹری میں ورکشاپ، چائنز ماہرین کی شرکت

NVL organized a workshop on Brucellosis diagnosis. This was under WOAH Laboratory Twining Project. A delegate from China visited National Veterinary Laboratory Islamabad for this workshop. Title was “Technology of Serological Detection of Brucellosis”. Brucellosis in livestock specially brucellosis in cattle is an important disease. Besides its economic importance it has zoonotic importance also.

This is the twinning project of WOAH National Reference Laboratory for Animal Brucellosis China and NVL Islamabad. Furthermore, WAOH is funding this project. This WOAH Brucellosis reference lab is established at China Institute of Drug Control, Beijing.

The purpose of this project is to ensure quality diagnosis along with monitoring of the disease dynamics. In addition to this, the purpose is to suggest control strategies for Brucellosis in the livestock population. This project will improve the capacity and technical/scientific expertise of the lab staff. Experts guided the besides the hands-on training.

Prof. Junping Li, Prof. Nan Wang and Dr. Xiao ji zu from China Institute of Veterinary Drug Control, were the experts who visited Pakistan for this Workshop.  Dr. Muhammad Abubakar, Dr. Muhammad Fiaz and Dr. Shumaila Manzoor participated from NVL.
