Importance of Livestock of Balochistan in Economy

Livestock sector has more than fifty percent role in the economy of Balochistan. There is a large number of sheep and goats, whose breeding is not only a traditional hobby of the people here, but the employment of a large population of the province depends on it. Also, although in small numbers, there are cows and buffaloes in the province while traditional commercial dairy farms are also found around the cities. During his stay in Quetta, he also met local farmer Abdul Basit, whose family has been running a dairy farm for the past hundred years.

Organizing the Balochistan Livestock Expo

Balochistan Livestock Department had the primary responsibility for preparations for the Balochistan Livestock Expo. Along with this, other departments, especially law enforcement and security agencies, also played a key role. This event was not only historic for the livestock sector but also for Balochistan as a whole and it is likely to be a game changer or at least a new direction for the province.

Inauguration by the President of Pakistan

The Expo was inaugurated by the President of Pakistan, Dr. Arif Alvi. In the exhibition, companies related to the livestock sector from all over Pakistan set up stalls in this exhibition, among which a large number of companies from Punjab and other provinces were also present. Among them there were also business enterprises who may not have even thought about doing business in Balochistan before.

A New Direction for Investment and Trade

Balochistan Livestock Expo has set an example for all departments of the province. It was the first exhibition of its kind in Balochistan which showed a new way to other institutions. By organizing this exhibition, the Department of Livestock has proved that it is possible to organize an international expo in Balochistan, in which the participation of investors from all over Pakistan can be ensured.

Opportunities for Businesses and Farmers

The Balochistan Livestock Expo gave an opportunity to the businesses associated with the livestock sector of Pakistan to gain awareness of the potential of this province. He developed relations with the local people. After meeting farmers and professionals directly in Quetta and spending a few days there, he gained confidence. This confidence will be the basis for the establishment of business in Balochistan for those institutions which were previously reluctant to work in Balochistan.

On the other hand, thanks to this exhibition, the farmers and professionals of Balochistan also got awareness about the business establishments of other provinces and the facilities provided by them. Along with this, these people also got an opportunity to learn about modern technology. The participation of experts from other provinces as well as international delegates in the expo is important as it will attract foreign investors to this province.

Recognition of the Organizing Team

Adviser Livestock Balochistan Matha Khan Kakar and Secretary Livestock Balochistan Dostin Jamaldini Dadke deserve credit for ensuring the organization of this expo. Along with this, Ijaz Sanjrani, the focal person of the Expo and Special Assistant to the Chief Minister, also deserves congratulations who was directly involved in the arrangements of the Expo. It is important to mention here especially Dr. Azam Kakar, Dr. Fayyaz, Dr. Ghulam Hussain Jaffer, Dr. Shahid Amin and other officers of the Livestock Department who made the successful organization of the Expo possible with their practical role.

Role of Security Institutions

The atmosphere that is required for any major event in Balochistan is present today. Behind this are the sacrifices of the security and law and order guarantor institutions, which have restored the peaceful atmosphere by cooling down the fire in the province. The credit for organizing the Balochistan Livestock Expo goes to those institutions that not only provided such an environment to the province as a whole that a mega event could be held here, but also directly ensured security for the holding of the Expo.

Leadership of the Government of Balochistan

Another interesting thing regarding the organization of Balochistan Livestock Expo is that the Chief Minister of Balochistan took personal interest in it. An encouraging aspect in this regard is that they understand the importance of the livestock sector and are taking personal interest in the sector. Congratulations to Chief Minister Balochistan and his team for organizing the Balochistan Livestock Expo. It is hoped that practical steps will be taken for the development of this sector by playing an important role in the economy of the province.
