Animals Distribution Ceremony held in Tahsil Muzaffargarh
Animals were distributed among 223 widowed and divorced women selected through an online balloting process in Tehsil Muzaffargarh under Livestock Asset Transfer Program. The animals distribution included 150 Sahiwal and Cholistani cows and 73 Nili Ravi buffaloes. The deserving women were also provided Livestock Cards to help them purchase feed for their animals.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by Members of Provincial Assembly Sardar Ajmal Khan Chandia and Sardar Aun Hameed Dogar, along with Deputy Commissioner Muzaffargarh Muhammad Usman Tahir Jappa. Other participants included Director Livestock Dera Ghazi Khan Division Dr. Ghulam Nizamuddin, Additional Director Dr. Muhammad Tariq, Dr. Tariq Saeed, Dr. Abdul Hameed, officers of the Livestock Department, and a large number of local dignitaries.
Speakers at the event appreciated the vision of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, stating that the initiative will provide sustainable livelihoods for rural women, increase milk and meat production, and strengthen the rural economy. Beneficiary women also expressed their gratitude to the Chief Minister of Punjab and Provincial Minister for Livestock Syed Ashiq Hussain Kirmani for launching the program.

It is worth mentioning that a Livestock Asset Transfer Program worth PKR 2 billion is successfully underway to support poor, widowed, and divorced rural women in South Punjab. Under this initiative of Animals Distribution, 11,000 deserving women in 12 districts are being provided free female cows and buffaloes, enabling them to earn a dignified livelihood and helping reduce poverty in rural communities.
