جانوروں کیلئے امپورٹ پرمٹ، اختیارات کوارنٹین ڈیپارٹمنٹ کو تفویض

The Ministry of National Food Security and Research has delegated powers to the Director, Animal Quarantine Department. AQD will deal the animal import and export permission-related matters. This department will issue the Pet Import Permission certificate and Pet Export Permission certificate. Live animal import permission certificate will also be issued by AQD. Furthermore, this will also have the power to issue embryo import permission certificate and semen import permission certificate. Moreover, this will also issue the Duty exemption certificate for cattle feed premix and calf milk replacer. Permission for import of horses and import of ponies will also be issued by this department. The Ministry has delegated these powers under Pakistan Single Window (PSW).

Govt has taken this step  to promote the digital environment for animal and animal products import. Furthermore, it is to encourage investment through ease of doing business. PSW is an initiative to facilitate traders to fulfill import/export requirements through a single entry point.
