A grand dinner was organized in honor of the business community and high-ranking officials by the Chairman All Pakistan Meat Exporters and Processors Association (APMEPA) and Chairman Al-Rehman Meat Processors Private Limited Mian Abdul Hannan.

The ceremony was specially attended by Chairman Green Corporate Livestock Initiative Major General (R) Shahid Mahmood, DG Punjab Agriculture Food and Drug Authority Prof Dr Talat Naseer Pasha, President Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry Faheem-ur-Rehman Sehgal, Chairman Go Foods Group Chaudhry Muhammad Tahir, DG Quarantine Department Dr. Maqbool Ahmed and others.

Remarks of Chairman GCLI and President Lahore Chamber

Chairman Green Corporate Livestock Initiative Major General (R) Shahid Mahmood said that there is immense potential in Pakistan’s livestock sector. GCLI is striving to develop other sectors of the livestock sector including meat exports. Various steps are being taken to promote investment in Pakistan’s livestock sector. He said that GCLI has started production of sexed semen in Pakistan, while breeding bulls with the highest qualities of dairy breeds as well as beef breeds have been imported from foreign countries. These steps will open new avenues of development in livestock farming.

Green Corporate Livestock Initiative (GCLI) under SIFC

On this occasion, Lahore Chamber President Faheem-ur-Rehman Sehgal said that Al-Rahman Meat Processors is playing a fundamental role in increasing exports. A lot of foreign exchange is being brought to Pakistan through exports to countries including Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Muscat, Bahrain, Dubai, Kuwait and Tajikistan. This is not only creating a large number of job opportunities in Pakistan but is also playing a fundamental role in the country’s economic development.

At the end of the ceremony, Mian Abdul Hannan thanked all the guests who attended the ceremony. He said that Al-Rehman Meat Processors will maintain its quality and standards and promote Pakistani products not only in the Gulf countries but also in other global markets.
