The delegation visited Livestock Department

World Bank Delegation visited the Livestock Department regarding Punjab Green Development Program Implementation. Secretary Livestock briefed about the Go Green approach of the department. The department is focusing on low methane emissions by working on breed improvement. Biogas Project of Department is also an environmentally friendly initiative. Livestock breeds in Punjab are climate-resistant breeds.

World Bank is funding the Punjab Green Development Program. This program is focusing on  Environmental Governance Strengthening and promotion of Green Investments. There are 8 Program Disbursement Linked Indicators of this program.
