Livestock Department Gilgit Baltistan observed World AMR Awareness Week 2023. Skardu Veterinary Hospital organized an awareness session. Furthermore, Veterinary Hospital Gilgit also arranged a ceremony. In addition to this, Local FM organized a panel discussion. Discussion on TV Program was also the part.
What is meant by AMR?
Doctors prescribe different types of antibiotics as well as other antimicrobial agents. These medicines work against different disease-causing agents. These agents include bacteria, viruses, and fungi. When these medicines stop affecting these agents, we call it AMR. Furthermore, AMR means antimicrobial resistance.
