A book on rabies in dogs has been published by CABI Publishers in the context of One Health in collaboration with the World Health Organization. Title of book is One Health for Dog mediated Rabies Elimination in Asia. Book includes chapters of renowned experts and researchers on elimination of rabies in Asia. The editorial team of the book on dog mediated rabies includes Dr. Waqas Ahmed, a Pakistani researcher and assistant professor at the University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, Narowal Campus (Khan Bahadur Chaudhry Mushtaq Ahmad College of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, Narowal).
Dr. Waqas Ahmed is a graduate of Veterinary Faculty of University of Agriculture, Faisalabad. He received his PhD in Public Health from the Institute of Zoonoses, Jilin University, China. Dr. Waqas is doing special research on the epidemiology of rabies in Pakistan.

Dr. Waqas has presented his work in various workshops and conferences at the international level regarding the eradication of rabies in Pakistan. He performed research services in the pilot project regarding vaccination of dogs in Karachi. He has also obtained various certificates regarding Rabies from Global Alliance for Rabies Control (GARC).
The recently published book includes chapters on One Health Networks and Working Models, mass dog vaccination, dog-human ecological relationship, rabies diagnosis and rabies treatment.
