Halal Lead Auditor Training Course held at UVAS – Veterinary University Lahore
A four-day Halal Lead Auditor Training Course was organized by the Department of Food Science and Human Nutrition of the University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, Lahore and IFANCA Pakistan Halal Apex Private Limited.
Presiding over the closing ceremony, Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Naseem Ahmed distributed certificates among the training participants and resource persons.
The ceremony was attended by Prof. Dr. Javed Aziz Awan, Dr. Sanaullah Iqbal, Dr. Sakhawat Ali and organizers Dr. Muhammad Sohaib and Muhammad Owais Karni, along with food industry professionals, technologists, researchers, consultants, quality regulatory affairs managers, auditors, trainers, students and faculty members.
Speaking at the event, Professor Dr. Naseem Ahmed said that the Veterinary University has always worked closely with the meat, dairy, poultry and other food industries. He also appreciated the efforts of the organizers for organizing training on this topic.
He also heard recommendations from the participants to further improve such training in the future so that the capacity of professionals is built and their professional work can be further improved.
During the four-day Halal Auditor Training Course, experts gave detailed lectures to the participants on various topics related to the Halal market, definition of Halal and Haram in the light of Sharia principles, Halal food standards, Halal certification procedures, Halal ingredients, Halal food and food safety, challenges of Halal certification and documentation.
