World Veterinary Day Celebration by Livestock Department Punjab

Livestock and Dairy Development Department Punjab organized an awareness walk on the occasion of “World Veterinary Day 2025” at Livestock Services Training Center (LSTC) Sheikhupura. This World Veterinary Day Celebration was led by Additional Secretary Technical Dr. Usman Tahir. Director Communication Dr. Haider Ali Khan and Director Lahore Division Dr. Kanwar Naeem were also present on the occasion.

The theme of World Veterinary Day this year is “Animal Health Takes a Team”, which aims to highlight the importance of collective efforts in protecting animal health.

Additional Secretary Technical Dr. Usman Tahir said that veterinarians become a voice for speechless animals and render services day and night for their welfare. The Livestock and Dairy Development Department Punjab pays tribute to its proud veterinary professionals on the occasion of this international day.

Director Communication Dr. Haider Ali Khan said that veterinary experts not only protect the health of animals but also ensure the provision of safe and healthy food for human health.

Vet Day History and Theme Elaboration 

World Veterinary Day is celebrated on the last Sunday of April every year to highlight the importance of the veterinary profession and appreciate the efforts made for the welfare of animals. Activities were also organized in Rawalpindi, Faisalabad, Lahore, and other cities to mark the day.
