A critically endangered Sumatran Elephant has born in Indonesia at Way Kambas National Park. According to, officials this rare birth has given renewed hope to conservation efforts. According to, World Wildlife Fund for Nature these elephants are going on the brink of extinction. Importantly, their population has left about 2400-2800. However, the born calf has nearly 78 kilograms (172 pounds) weight. Also, a male elephant has born in this park in the same month from another mother. Besides, this an endangered Sumatran rhino has also born in this park.
