Sibi Mela inaugurated by President of Pakistan Dr. Arif Alvi
President Dr. Arif Alvi has said that the cultural and traditional fair of Sibi has been an important event for decades. This festival of Sibi Mela is a source of close contact between the people, especially those associated with agriculture and livestock business, and the government.
The historic Sibi fair has the honor of being attended by the founder of the country, Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah. It is an honor for me to inaugurate the Sibi fair today. The federal government’s priorities include the development and advancement of Balochistan. He expressed these views while addressing the inaugural ceremony of the Sibi fair on Wednesday.

President Dr. Arif Alvi has said that Balochistan is the region where the world’s oldest civilization Mehrgarh is located, CPEC will change the destiny of Balochistan, the completion of CPEC will establish industrial zones, Balochistan is very important with regard to the coastal belt, work will have to be done on an emergency basis to promote fishing, last year Pakistan exported fish products worth $ 300 million and this year it exported $ 500 million. New dams will be built to overcome the water crisis in Balochistan.
The President expressed his condolences to the families of those martyred in the Quetta suicide attack and strongly condemned the bomb blast. He said that terrorists will never be allowed to disturb the peace of Balochistan, the morale of the nation will not be weakened by the evil intentions of the enemies because Pakistan is a land of peace and love, investors from abroad are coming to Pakistan and are eager to invest. He said that Balochistan is a province rich in natural resources, the mistakes of the past will be corrected. He said that Balochistan has been a deprived and backward province, festivals and celebrations are very important here.

On this occasion, Chief Minister Balochistan Jam Kamal Khan Alyani said that the agriculture and livestock sectors played an important role in the economy of Balochistan, he said that these two sectors always have special representation in this historic festival. He said that a large number of people associated with the agriculture and livestock sectors from across the country participated in this festival. The experts shared ideas with each other and learned from each other’s experiences.
The Chief Minister said that the economic development of any region is linked to its security situation. He said that the provincial government is paying special attention to law and order in the province. He said that the country’s security forces have made great sacrifices in their efforts to establish peace in the province. Both the government and the security forces are committed to restoring complete peace in the province.
The Chief Minister said that since coming to power, the provincial government has taken many steps to improve the health and education sectors. The government will use the resources of Balochistan for the benefit of its people. Provincial Agriculture Engineer Zamarak Khan Achakzai, while presenting the vote of thanks, demanded that the Quetta-Jaffarabad trade route be made dual-lane, after which the President announced the inclusion of this project in the upcoming PSDP.

Chief Secretary Balochistan Fazeel Asghar, while addressing the gathering, said that people in Balochistan depend on livestock and agriculture. The Chief Minister Balochistan recently successfully organized a Livestock Expo. He said that the completion of the Kachhi Canal in the region will bring seven lakh acres of agricultural land under development, which will have a positive impact on the country’s economy. On this occasion, the provincial government presented souvenirs to the President, Governor, Chief Minister, Chief Secretary, Commander Southern Command, IG Police and IG FC.
