Seminar on Profitable Poultry Farming organized at University of Layyah. BS Animal Sciences and BS Poultry Sciences will be started at Layyah University. Poultry Diagnostic Lab will also be established. Livestock Department will offer diagnostic services to small poultry farmers. Poultry Professionals and poultry farmers attended the event.

A seminar was organized on the topic of profitable poultry farming in collaboration with the Faculty of Veterinary Sciences, University of Layyah and the Livestock Department, Layyah. Veterinary professionals, faculty members and poultry farmers participated in the seminar.
On this occasion, the opinions of experts were sought to identify the problems related to the poultry sector and to address them. Addressing the seminar, Dr. Muhammad Ali Buzdar discussed in detail the current challenges faced by the poultry sector and identified the problems as well as suggested economically feasible solutions. He informed the participants that BS Poultry Sciences and BS Animal Sciences degree programs are being started at the University of Layyah, in addition to the Livestock Assistant Diploma.
This initiative will provide quality and affordable vocational education to the students of the area in their own district. He further said that the university has the latest lab infrastructure and teaching staff. He also expressed his determination to establish a poultry diagnostic lab in the university in the near future, keeping in mind the difficulties of doctors and farmers.
Dr. Sohaib spoke on the occasion about the current challenges of poultry and appreciated the steps taken by the university and the launch of new degree programs. He fully supported the university’s commitment to establish a lab and offered all possible cooperation for this.
Additional Director Livestock Layyah Dr. Tariq Gadara said that such activities will continue and efforts will be made to solve the problems of farmers, doctors and academia. He said that free tests will be started in the district laboratory for small poultry farmers, while full cooperation will also be provided in the internships of students with the University of Layyah.
Dr. Faisal Uzair Goraiya, representing the farmers, thanked the administration. At the end of the ceremony, shields and certificates were presented to Dr. Tariq Gadara, Dr. Shahid Ramzan, Dr. Sohaib, Dr. Faisal Aziz, Dr. Sami, Dr. Moin Ijaz, Dr. Zulqarnain Shakir, Dr. Asif, Dr. Shahid Iqbal, Dr. Asif Vander, Dr. Dilawar, Abid Hussain and others.
