Pakistan Poultry Industry symposium in Bangkok at VIV Asia 2023
WPSA Pakistan organized the Pakistan Poultry Industry symposium in Bangkok at VIV Asia 2023. World Poultry Science Association Pakistan Branch invited experts form Pakistan. WPSA also presented gold medals to the poultry experts of Pakistan. This poultry award was in the recognition of services for poultry profession. In technical sessions, experts discussed different issues of poultry health and production.

The Pakistan Poultry Industry Symposium was organized in Bangkok on the occasion of VIV Asia 2023 organized by the World Poultry Science Association Pakistan Branch. The symposium was organized at the Impact Exhibition Hall in Bangkok in collaboration with representatives of poultry and feed.

The special guest, President of the World Poultry Science Association Pakistan Branch, Mian Jan Muhammad Javed, while addressing the symposium, introduced the poultry industry of Pakistan and mentioned the opportunities available for the poultry industry of Pakistan in the international market. He thanked the organizers for bringing the poultry industry of Pakistan together on an international platform. On this occasion, he reiterated that in the near future such programs will be organized in other countries of the world so that the poultry industry of Pakistan can be introduced to the whole world. To increase the exports of the industry and give it a global position and to increase the exports of the poultry industry.
Symposium proceedings and speakers
First session: Speaking in the first session of the symposium, Chaudhry Muhammad Ashraf, Dr. Zafarul Islam Siddiqui, Dr. Maida Khalid, Dr. Asim Mahmood Khan, Dr. Fariha Kausar, Dr. Shahzad Naveed Jadoon, Waqar Alam, Sohail Ahmed, Dr. Muhammad Sadiq, Dr. Kashif Saleemi, Dr. Farhan Farooq and others also attended the symposium and paid tribute to their leadership services for the poultry industry.
Second session: The second session was held on poultry farming. In this session, Dr. Atrejah Wadilo, Director of the Poultry School Malaysia, Fawad Wadilo and Dr. Kashif Saleemi discussed various topics related to poultry nutrition and health.
Third session: In the third session of the symposium, Dr. Farhan Farooq, Chickens of Pakistan, discussed the importance of the poultry breeding industry. Chief Operating Officer Noor Poultry Sohail Ahmed highlighted the alternative poultry of Pakistan and its effectiveness. Discipline and Digitalization in Poultry Farming was held. In this session, renowned speakers of the Poultry School Joost Jarrett, Professor Dr. Mushtaq Memon, Ali Murtaza Solangi and Khushbakht Ashraf spoke.
Fourth Session: In the fourth session of the symposium, young researchers from Pakistan, Dr. Jibran Hussain, Dr. Najm Al-Harr, Dr. Shahzad and Dr. Haseeb, read their papers.
Awards Ceremony:
In the closing ceremony of the symposium, in recognition of their services to the poultry industry of Pakistan, Professor Dr. Tanveer Ahmed, Dr. Kashif Saleemi, Dr. Jibran Hussain, Dr. Fariha Kausar, Dr. Maida Khalid, Dr. Asim Mahmood Khan, Waqar Alam, Dr. Farhan Farooq, Dr. Najm Al-Harr, Khushbakht, Dr. Joost, Dr. Memon, Dr. Atreja, Mian Muhammad Haseeb Javed and Kalil Ahmed were awarded gold medals.
The chief organizer of the symposium, Dr. Nasir Mukhtar, welcomed the participants and explained the aims and objectives of the symposium. He said that this is a historic symposium whose aim is to promote the poultry industry of Pakistan as an industry.
The symposium was chaired by Mian Jan Muhammad Javed, Chaudhry Muhammad Ashraf, Dr. Zafarul Islam Siddiqui, Ali Murtaza Solangi, Dr. Nasir Mukhtar, Dr. Kashif Saleemi of the University of Agriculture Faisalabad and the secretary was Dr. Jibran Hussain of the Veterinary University.
The conference was attended by 371 people, including 311 foreigners and 60 Pakistanis.
