About Ms. Sofyya CEO Pakistan Northern Cheese
Ms. Sofyya is a highly skilled dairy technologist with over a decade of experience in cheese research and production. Her passion for natural, organic cheese has led her to establish Pakistan Northern Cheese, where she integrates traditional cheese-making methods with modern innovations. She has acquired a unique and specialized skill in Artisan Cheese Making.
Diverse Range of Cheese by Pakistan Northern Cheese
PNC has mastered the art of making a variety of cheeses, catering to different tastes and textures including home made cheese.
Types of Cheese and Home Production
Cow Milk Cheese
Cow milk cheese is one of the most commonly consumed cheeses worldwide, and PNC ensures that its cow cheese maintains an authentic, rich taste. With a smooth texture and mild flavor, cow milk cheese is versatile for sandwiches, pizzas, and traditional Pakistani dishes.
Buffalo Milk Cheese
Buffalo milk cheese is known for its creamy texture and slightly sweet taste. It is a great source of calcium and is often used in traditional Pakistani cuisine, including kebabs, curries, and parathas. Buffalo Milk Cheese is full of taste and nutrition.
Home Made Cheese
For those who prefer fresh, organic cheese, PNC offers home made cheese varieties that are rich in probiotics and made with minimal processing. Our home made cheese products are perfect for home cooking and health-conscious consumers.
Artisan Cheese
Artisan cheese is handcrafted using age-old techniques that enhance its flavor and texture. PNC produces natural, organic artisan cheese that undergoes careful fermentation, giving it a distinct taste that is appreciated by cheese connoisseurs.
Camel Cheese: A Unique Offering in Pakistan
One of the most remarkable products by PNC is its camel cheese. As one of the few producers of camel milk cheese in Pakistan, PNC has introduced multiple varieties of this unique cheese, including:
- Camel Semi-Hard Cheese: Aged for a specific duration to achieve a firm yet slightly crumbly texture.
- Camel Plain Soft Cheese: A smooth and creamy cheese with a mild taste, perfect for spreading.
- Semi-Soft Cheese of Camel Milk with White Peppers: A flavorful variety infused with white peppers for a subtle spicy kick.
Camel cheese is rich in essential nutrients such as calcium, protein, and vitamins, making it an excellent choice for health-conscious consumers. It is particularly suitable for those with lactose intolerance, as camel milk has lower lactose content compared to cow’s milk.

Why Cheese is a Game-Changer for Pakistan’s Dairy Industry
Unlike raw milk, which naturally perishes within seven days, cheese offers a sustainable solution. Using traditional chemical-free preservation techniques, cheese can be aged for months to years, significantly increasing its shelf life.
Furthermore, integrating cheese making into the tourism sector—particularly in Kalash and Shandur—will attract international recognition. Yak Milk Cheese and Camel Cheese can especially attract international markets.
Despite the immense potential, traditional cheese-making has been largely overlooked in Pakistan. This craft has a rich historical legacy, yet remains untapped for commercial and global recognition.
