Pakistan Dairy Summit organized by the Pakistan Dairy Association
Pakistan Dairy Association organized the Pakistan Dairy Summit. The event title was “Milk Matters: Building a Healthy Nation for Life”. This summit highlighted the various aspects of the future of the dairy sector in Pakistan. Renowned experts and policymakers expressed their views.
Provincial Minister of Primary and Secondary Healthcare Punjab Khawaja Imran Nazir discussed the importance of food security in national stability and health. Moreover, Provincial Food Minister Punjab Bilal Yasin emphasized the importance of choosing healthy food. Furthermore, Senior Member of the National Assembly Shaista Pervez highlighted the important role of dairy in women’s health. She also shed light on its impact on the overall well-being of the community.

At the Pakistan Dairy Summit, FAO representative Florence Rolle spoke about innovative solutions to industrial challenges. Besides this, Farah Naz, Country Manager of the Global Alliance for Improved Nutrition highlighted the importance of affordable dairy and accessible nutrition for future generations. On the other hand, PSQCA Director General Tawfiq Ali Abbasi focused on increasing safety standards to secure dairy quality and enhance consumer confidence and health.
Secretary Livestock Punjab Masood Anwar discussed sustainable systems for the dairy sector. He also highlighted the importance of strong regulations for livestock.
Inaugural Session and Panel Discussion – Pakistan Dairy Summit
National Alliance for Safe Food (NAFS) Chairman Rana Owais Khan, Pakistan Dairy Association Chief Executive Officer Dr Shahzad Amin, and others also spoke. Prof Dr. Talat Naseer Pasha, Vice Chancellor UVAS Prof Dr. Muhammad Younis Rana, Chairman Punjab Livestock and Dairy Development Board Dr. Asim Mahmood Khan, and others were also in the ceremony.
At the Pakistan Dairy Summit, the Director General of Punjab Food Authority Muhammad Asim Javed, Director General of Sindh Food Authority Agha Fakhar Hussain, and other experts discussed the regulatory framework and ways forward for dairy in a panel discussion. Member Provincial Assembly Hina Parvez Butt and Uzma Kardar also spoke. At the end of the summit, Dr. Shahzad Amin thanked the participants.
