Nutritionists Association of Pakistan meeting
An important meeting of the Nutritionists Association of Pakistan (NAP) was held at the University of Education Lahore. The meeting was attended by Professor Dr. Talat Naseer Pasha, Dr. Mosaddiq Asif (Chairman), Professor Dr. Saima (General Secretary), Dr. Muhammad Athar, Dr. Shahzad Naveed Jadoon, Dr. Muhammad Nasir and Dr. Sanaullah.
The meeting reviewed the past activities of the association as well as discussed future activities. The meeting decided that a National Nutrition Dialogue on the topic of One Health and Food Systems will be organized in Islamabad in the month of March.

This national dialogue will have four segments consisting of poultry nutrition, dairy nutrition, fish nutrition and human nutrition. Unlike scientific papers and presentations, issues of different sectors will be discussed through panel discussions.
The moderator for poultry nutrition will be Dr. Abdul Karim Bhatti, for dairy nutrition Dr. Naveedul Haq, for fish nutrition Dr. Shahzad Naveed Jadoon, while for human nutrition segment Dr. Muhammad Nasir.
It was agreed in the meeting that the secretariat of the association will be established at the city campus of the University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences Lahore, which will be managed by the General Secretary Prof. Dr. Saima. The regular services of an animal nutritionist will also be obtained to run the affairs of the secretariat.
It was also decided in the meeting that a campaign will be launched for the membership of the association in educational institutions related to nutrition degrees.
