GCLI and LACC signed MOU for Livestock Development in KP
A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between the Green Corporate Livestock Initiative (GCLI) and the Livestock and Agriculture Cooperative Corporation for livestock development in KP. They will work for the promotion of modern breeding, genetic improvement, gender sorted crosses, artificial insemination and modern biotechnology in livestock.
The objective of this MoU is to provide modern breeding technology, high genetic quality facilities, technical assistance and professional training to the livestock farmers of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. As a result milk and meat production can be increased, livestock breed improvement can be improved and farmers’ income can be significantly increased.

Brig (R) Ehtesham Younis, Chief Executive Officer of the Green Corporate Livestock Initiative, said that through this MoU for livestock development in KP, modern scientific technology will be practically brought to the farmers, which will promote sustainable development and breeding of high-quality breeds in the livestock sector.

Mujahid Shah, Executive Director, Livestock and Agriculture Cooperative Corporation, said that this collaboration is an important milestone for the livestock farmers of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Through this, modern breeding technologies, genetic improvement, gender-sorted semen and artificial insemination facilities will be made available to the farmers in a phased manner. These steps will significantly increase the productivity of the livestock sector.
Both institutions reiterated their commitment to continue joint efforts for livestock development in KP. They will join hands to make the livestock sector of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa strong, modern and self-sufficient and for the prosperity of farmers through mutual cooperation, research and modern technology.
