Notification for Milk Price issued with an increase of Rs. 20 Per Liter
Damaged by inflation, dairy farmers became helpless in front of the administration. The demand to increase the price of milk by 50 rupees per liter could not be accepted. Commissioner Karachi has issued a milk price notification with an increase of 20 rupees per liter. Furthermore, farmers and retailers have agreed on this new price.
According to the details, stakeholders accepted this milk price notification after a long meeting with Commissioner Karachi. Moreover, on this occasion, farmers and retailers assured to implement the official price of milk.
According to the new price, milk will be available to consumers in the market at Rs 220 per liter. On the other hand, the farm rate is Rs 195 and the wholesale rate Rs 205.

Shakir Umar Gujjar, president of the Dairy and Cattle Farmers Association talked with the media. He said that the production cost of milk has increased a lot due to inflation. We demand a price hike in compulsion. He said, we have accepted this Rs 20 increase in public interest. We are aware of the public situation and their difficulties, he added. He said that the price of milk should be determined according to the cost of production.
