Chawla Group has announced a Veterinary Assistant job and LAD & Livestock Assistant job at Chawla Dairy Farms. They are hiring a VA – Health Specialist at their dairy farm in Faisalabad. This VA Job and LAD Job is suitable for candidates who have practical experience in dairy cattle health and farm operations. The company is looking for a responsible professional who can support daily animal health activities and work closely with the farm veterinarian.
For this VA Job, candidates should preferably have an LDA or Veterinary Assistant (VA) qualification. A diploma or certificate in Veterinary Assistance, Animal Sciences, Dairy Sciences, or a related field is also acceptable. In addition, candidates should have 3–5 years of relevant experience in dairy herd health, veterinary assistance, or commercial dairy farm operations.

The selected candidate will conduct daily health checks of dairy cattle. They will also identify early signs of illness and report health problems. Moreover, the candidate will monitor and manage mastitis cases, including early detection, treatment support, and follow-up. The job also involves regular locomotion scoring and identifying lameness-related problems.
Responsibilities
Furthermore, the Veterinary Assistant will perform routine hoof inspection and hoof trimming according to farm protocols. They will assist with vaccination programs and handle vaccine administration, records, and follow-up. They will also support the veterinarian in disease diagnosis, treatment, medication, deworming, and preventive health programs.
The candidate will monitor animal conditions and report injuries, fever, infection, lameness, and other abnormalities. In addition, they will maintain accurate records of animal health, treatment, vaccination, mastitis, hoof care, and mortality. They will also monitor shed cleanliness, hygiene, bedding, ventilation, drainage, and animal comfort. Therefore, knowledge of biosecurity and sanitation is important for this role.
Chawla Dairy Farms is looking for someone with strong practical knowledge of dairy cattle health management. The candidate should understand mastitis detection and management. They should also have practical knowledge of locomotion scoring and lameness assessment. Moreover, experience in hoof checking and trimming is preferred. Knowledge of vaccination protocols, vaccine handling, shed management, hygiene, sanitation, and biosecurity will also be valuable.
