Meat Exporters demand abolishing the Live Animal Export Quota

Meat exporters have demanded abolishing the live animals export quota. Nasib Ahmed Saifi, Chairman All Pakistan Meat Exporters and Processors Association put the demands regarding Issues of Meat Export. He also demanded a ban on the slaughter of female animals, control over livestock smuggling, and the establishment of livestock zones in Cholistan. He has also demanded that financial barriers should be removed and meat export should be subsidized. Moreover, Issues related to freight charges and cargo as well as fines related to State Bank should be resolved. Besides this, certification issues should also be resolved. He has demanded embassies should be mobilized to find new meat markets. Moreover, lands should be allotted in Thar under the Cattle Rearing Scheme.
