To ensure chicken is sold in strict accordance with hygiene principles, new SOPs have been issued:

• Mandatory Medical Checkups: Chicken sellers must undergo official medical examinations at hospitals designated by the Punjab Food Authority.

• Required Attire: All workers present in the shop during working hours must wear a cap, apron, and mask.

• Jewelry Ban: No worker or craftsman is permitted to wear a ring or any other jewelry while performing their duties.

• Counter Infrastructure: A stainless steel wire mesh must be installed around the counter area.

• Prohibited Habits: Smoking cigarettes or chewing paan (betel leaf) inside the shop is strictly forbidden.
