History of UVAS Pet Centre

History of UVAS Pet Centre is very old. The University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, Lahore is the oldest veterinary educational institution in the Indian subcontinent. The institution started as a veterinary school in 1882, which later attained college status and then university status in 2002. During its 137-year long journey, this historic institution has rendered immense services in the field of veterinary medicine at the national and international levels. The most important milestone in this educational journey is the Pathology Department of the Faculty of Veterinary Science and the services of the Pet Centre.

The Pet Center is the only department of the university that not only provides excellent facilities for the treatment of pets (dogs, cats, birds, etc.) 24 hours a day, but this department is also a major source of revenue and fund raising for the university. Despite this, biased decisions are being made against it by the current university administration.
