Mega Farmers Day organized under GRIDD Project of GCLI in Jehlum
Mega Farmers Day was organized at Livestock Complex Jhelum under the GRIDD Project of Green Corporate Livestock Initiative managed by Livestock Department Jhelum. The event organized under the Grassroot Incentivized Agricultural Development Project of GCLI was specially attended by Chief Executive Officer GCLI Brig (R) Ehtisham Younis and Director Col (R) Abdul Rehman Qureshi. Additional Director Livestock Jhelum Dr. Ziaullah Gondal, Dr. Zahid Quddus, Dr. Masood Hussain and other officers were also present.
A large number of livestock farmers attended the event. On this occasion, Brig (R) Ehtisham Younis said that increasing milk and meat production through genetic improvement of livestock is the need of the hour. Accordingly, Green Corporate Livestock Initiative is providing sexed semen and embryos to farmers.
Col (retd) Abdul Rehman Qureshi said that GCLI has imported breeding bulls with high genetic qualities from the US, whose sexed semen will be available to farmers in the next few days. Dr. Ziaullah Gondal spoke about the facilities and services provided by the Livestock Department on this occasion.
