Minister Livestock Punjab inaugurated the First Day of IPEX 2025

The three-day International Poultry Expo – IPEX 2025 continued with great enthusiasm on the first day. The Expo was formally inaugurated by Provincial Minister for Livestock and Agriculture Syed Ashiq Hussain Kirmani. Chairman Pakistan Poultry Association Abdul Basit, Vice Chairman Northern Zone Malik Muhammad Sharif, Chief Organizer Abdul Hai Mehta, Khalil Sattar, Khaliq Arshad, Basharat Khaliq, Malik Muhammad Sajid Awan, Vice Chancellor Veterinary University Lahore Prof. Dr. Muhammad Younis, Secretary Expo Shafiq Ahmed, Additional Secretary Technical Dr. Usman Tahir, Director General Research Dr. Sajjad Hussain Kashfi and others were also present on the occasion of the inauguration.

Minister Livestock at IPEX 2025

On this occasion, Provincial Minister for Livestock and Agriculture Syed Ashiq Hussain Kirmani said that it is very welcome that the Pakistan Poultry Association has organized this successful expo at the international level. IPEX 2025 has brought domestic and foreign investors together on a single platform and provided new investment opportunities. He said that the poultry industry is a shining example of Pakistan’s private sector, which has not only fulfilled the needs of the country through its hard work, modern technology and quality but has also significantly increased poultry exports.

The provincial minister congratulated the organizers for the excellent arrangements. The Minister for Livestock further said that the Livestock Department and the Punjab government stand with the poultry sector and are ensuring the provision of facilities for the promotion of this industry.

He said that the Punjab government has established successful links with the federal government for the uninterrupted supply of chicken feed and greens. Finally, the Minister for Livestock said that the development of the poultry sector is among the top priorities of the Punjab government. The government is committed to further strengthening this industry through partnership with the private sector.

Activities on First Day of Poultry Expo 2025

The organizers said that this year the exhibition is being celebrated as the Silver Jubilee Edition. It is a platform that brings together all the stakeholders of the poultry industry in Pakistan on one platform.

The Poultry Expo had a large number of stalls of companies related to poultry feeding, breeding, health, diagnostics, production, processing, technology, machinery, equipment, medicines, food products and other sectors. A large number of foreign companies were also present. Moreover, foreign experts also participated in the Expo. On the first day, thousands of people associated with the poultry industry, including poultry farmers, industry persons, professionals, students, researchers and businessmen, attended this exhibition.

On the first day of the International Poultry Expo, a Poultry Science Conference was also organized in collaboration with the Veterinary University Lahore. Researchers and experts presented their research work at the Poultry Science Conference. Those who presented the best research work were awarded prizes. Dr Hamid Irshad, Dr. Khalid Naeem Khwaja, and Dr. Muhammad Danish were the guests. The first position was won by Minahel Ashraf, while the second position was won by Noorul Ain.
