DG GCLI visited the National Agricultural Research Centre of PARC

Director General Green Corporate Livestock Initiative (GCLI) Major General (r) Shahid Mehmood visited NARC of PARC. Col Abdul Rehman Qureshi and other officers of the Remount Veterinary and Farms Corps (RVFC) also accompanied him.

NARC is the National Agricultural Research Center of PARC. On the other hand, PARC is the Pakistan Agricultural Research Council.

Member Animal Sciences Division PARC Dr. Murtaza Hasan Andrabi gave a briefing on the various departments and activities of the institution. He also informed about the ongoing projects and future initiatives for the development of the livestock sector. On this occasion, special focus was given to modern aspects of livestock breeding. Key topics included the genetic improvement of indigenous livestock breeds, particularly non-descriptive animals, using elite exotic germplasm such as embryos and semen in systematic breeding programs like National Herd Transformation.

GCLI is an initiative under the Green Pakistan initiative under SIFC -Special Investment Facilitation Council.
