Backyard poultry farming is hen farming at home or farming at small scale. In backyard chicken farming birds should be given extra care to get good production. On the other hand, at small level rural poultry (Desi Murghi) business, poor farmers should be provided birds along with incubator and some funds. Besides this, veterinary services should also be given to sustain this small business model. Moreover, birds should be given proper feed and vaccination should be done at the recommended schedule. Birds should also be protected from extreme weather conditions. However, chicks should be give extraordinary care and protection form cats and dogs.
