Prize Distributed among the Buffalo Competition Winners at BRI Pattoki

Prizes were distributed among the winning farmers and breeders of the Buffalo Competition ( بھینس مقابلہ ) of the Punjab Livestock Show 2024 and Bahadur Nagar Mela. The event was held at Buffalo Research Institute Pattoki. The chief guest of the event was Brig Muhammad Ali Raza, Commandant of the Center of Excellence for Bovine Genetics CEBG Renala from the Remount Veterinary and Farms Corps of the Pakistan Army. Bovine Sexed Semen will be available soon at CEBG Renala.

Director General Production Department of Livestock Punjab Dr. Muhammad Asif Rafique, President Buffalo Breeders Association Punjab Pakistan Ali Imran Rath, General Secretary Engineer Samiullah, Haji Saeed-ul-Hassan Hotiana and former MPA from Sheikhupura Ch. Sajjad Haider Gujjar also joined the event.

On this occasion, Brigadier Muhammad Ali Raza appreciated the performance of the farmers. He said that in the next few months, the Center of Excellence for Bovine Genetics CEBG Renala will provide Sexed Semen. Semen sexing facilities will make it possible to use sexed semen in buffaloes also.

Chief Research Officer Buffalo Research Institute Dr. Asif Rafique highlighted the need for mutual cooperation between institutions on this occasion. President of Buffalo Breeders Association Ali Imran Rath said that through such programs we can promote genetic improvement of animals by encouraging farmers.

At a Buffalo Competition ( بھینس مقابلہ ), the buffalo that got first price in the Buffalo Mela competition produced 47 liters, the second 45 liters and the third  43 liters of milk.
